My grandad is 81 now and it's been the same from the 18th of may and he is getting old very fast and it dos not feel like a year has passed yet

Y3 Rowan: WH - I made a chicken pasta bake for my family. I made a roux sauce which was very tricky!

William H - Y3 Rowan I've built a stand for some of my Lego so I can display my Lego builds on my desk it took me a long time but i didn't mind.

Mrs Cleal - It was such a lovely day on Saturday that I went for along walk. It was a fun walk because we found a swing in the wood, it was too tempting not to have a go! I also picked some wild garlic Yum!

I and L organised a VE Day celebration for our whole cul-de-sac; sending out invites, making bunting; and making and delivering scones for over 20 people. All of their neighbours came out in their own gardens for the party. Lots of lovely letters of thanks to them from neighbours have been sent since.

Y5 Oak: E&E We had a lot of fun celebrating VE Day. Starting with a two min silence at 11am. We then had tea and cake in the garden whilst listening to 1940s music. We watched Winston Churchills famous speech at 3pm and then had a bbq. We raised a glass of J2O to thank the fallen followed by more 1940s music.

Mrs Mason: This is my "go to" Mary Berry chocolate cake that I've been making for years.

NW - FS Holly We took our elderly neighbours dog Muffin for a walk down at Quicken Copse. A used that time to also do her scavenger hunt! On the way we noticed Green Lane has temporarily changed to a rainbow Lane!!

Myleigh K - Y4 Willow I have been baking cakes and shortbread with my mum for some of the elderly residents and key workers in our village. We gave out over 70 scones and cake slices on Friday. We are baking again this week. I love baking cakes.

Dad and I have baked a sponge cake for fun. We poured a tiny bit of vanilla and lemon essence into the mixture to give it a great taste. (Was a bit over cooked but still tastes lovely)

FS Holly: A built a home for this little butterfly in an open mason jar with stones, mud, leaves and flowers. The butterfly chose to fly away, but we left the jar in the garden in case it comes back :)

I have been doing some science experiments, launching a rocket using bicarbonate of soda and vinegar. It went really high!

G planted some seeds in her fairy garden. We were amazed at how quickly they grew. We talked about what was needed to grow the seeds. G said soil, water and the sun.

I and L have been enjoying some new skills at home. They have been learning how to play archery with a bow and arrow. They have also been mastering their mapping skills using an OS Map to find different places and new routes we can walk across the fields near to where we live. It has been lots of fun!
