Christmas Cracker Investigation
In maths over the past few weeks, we have been learning about statistics, including reading, interpreting and comparing charts, tables and graphs.
We carried out an investigation with a partner where we were made the new manager of a Christmas cracker company. We first had to conduct a survey to collect data to find out about what people in our class liked about crackers. We asked them about which colours they thought were best and also what they liked to get inside a cracker. We then we turned this data into pictograms (where we had to make a key that represented more than one person's response) and bar charts. Finally, we used this information to design our own Christmas crackers that took into account the data that we had collected. We even had to think of our own Christmas joke to include. Look out on the website later today for our final designs!
