Steel Pan Workshop

Oak Class were privileged to welcome Paul, Max and Helen this afternoon. We all learned how to 'roll' on the steel pans and played different notes and used dynamics to play loudly and softly. Max came to England from Trinidad in 1952 as a professional musician and we were treated to some of his stories and some wonderful steel pan performances as well.
It was a wonderful experience for the children which has brought to life our book study on 'Coming To England' and our topic studies this term.
