Exploradome << Click to return to the previous page... We had a great visit from Dave, Annie and Robbie from Exploradome today. Our session on Environments included a trip to the jungle where we felt the raindrops on our heads, and we learned about the rainforest animals including the capybara, howling monkey, red eyed tree frog and the caiman. We explored the desert and talked about the camels, lizards and scorpions that live in the heat. We found out about nocturnal animals, looked at the starry night sky and the northern lights. We were transported to the North Pole and experienced an arctic cloud (dry ice) and the freezing temperatures. We learned about how animals are adapted to their environments and why they might need to be camouflaged. We discussed how we can look after our planet and the stinky rubbish dump reminded us to Reduce, Re-use and Recycle our rubbish.
