Collective Worship in school

At North Leigh School, collective worship is an important part of our school week, providing time for children to come together, reflect and explore the values that help us to learn, grow and live well together.

Our weekly programme includes:

  • Mondays: Whole-school collective worship led by the Headteacher, focusing on our school values, celebrations and key themes.
  • Tuesdays: Collective worship led by Rev Margaret Dixon, giving children the opportunity to explore Christian teachings, stories and values.
  • Thursdays: Class-based worship using Picture News, encouraging children to explore current issues, discuss different viewpoints and make links to our school values and British Values.

Through collective worship, we aim to develop children's ability to reflect, question, respect others and understand the wider world, while strengthening our shared values and sense of school community.
