This week we have been investigating Bronze Age tools. Close examination of a selection of axes helped us to work out the meaning of flanges, looped, hafsted, palstave and socketed. We were also able to use the design changes and improvements to put the tools in chronological order. We were surprised by how much we could learn about this time period by looking at the artefacts we had. We also enjoyed learning about the outstanding prehistoric monument Stonehenge - the people, places, tools and processes behind the mysteries of this internationally renowned World Heritage site.
