We each learned a short myth or legend which we then were able to re-tell to our group. We gathered in small groups as if sat around a fire and retold our tales by torchlight, trying to recreate the way Maya stories would have been told, although obviously fire would have provided the light rather than the torch but that was a bit dangerous for us in the classroom. We had great fun and enjoyed listening to each other telling stories from a wide range of cultures.
